How
we take the measurements
If you can, find a dress
that fits you well and measure that dress the same way we
do.
 BUST
We lay a dress flat on a table and take the measurements. In
case of BUST size, we insert a finger inside of each side and
pull slightly outward for small tension. The distance from end
to end is measured and multiplied by 2. If you can, find a dress
that fits you well and measure that dress the same way we
do.
WAIST
In case of WAIST size, actual dress size may be
slightly larger(1/2" or so) than the measured size.
We feel
that it is better to have little bit of room around the
WAIST.
HIP
In case of HIP size, actual dress size may be slightly larger
than the measured size for comfortable fit/movement.
LENGTH
The LENGTH is measured along the center line from DOT(approx.
5" below clavicle) to DOT(floor).

On average, dresses are made for height of 5' 7" to 5' 8"
Numbers are determined as the MAXIMUM SIZE for COMFORTABLE FIT.
In case of elastic material, there is comfortable tension on the
fabric when measurements are taken.

How to determine your
size?
Start with WAIST size first, then BUST, then HIP.
For example, your
measurements are (40 bust), (31 waist), (46 hip), and size chart
for the dress is as following.

Take following steps:
1) Start with your WAIST
measurement, which is 31, and compare it to WAIST size of Small.
Size Small(30) is too tight so consider Medium or Large for
now.
2) Next, look at your BUST
size, which is 40, and it's bigger than Medium(39), so drop
Medium and look at Large. BUST measurement for Large is
41, so it's OK.
3) Finally, look at your
HIP measurement, which is 46. It is less than the HIP
measurement of Large, so Large would be the right size. If
your HIP measure was bigger than 47, than you would need to
consider XL.
On average, dresses are made
for height of 5' 7" to 5' 8"
